The first step into making my own individual lamp, is cutting one of the ends of my  my 14 by 3 cm pieces of solid pine into a 45 degree angle, thus meaning that it i would be able to drill a dowel onto my flat base.  I also have to do this to 2 other pieces of wood, so that i can fit those 2 other pieces of 10 by 3 pine together, into a zig zagged shape.

I would need mark the point in the wood very carefully and very specifically, so that both pieces of wood would fit together perfectly by a dowel.  i have used this design as i believe that it is very quirky and interesting for young people, that are my age.  Also the shapes and colours on the lamp make it look like its a memphis design, which is my theme.
